Idleambition (Trap) is usually thought of a man impersonating a female character in costume, “He would still be hotter then you.”

Riddle – (Binge and Purge). Was brought over from the modeling world to the cosplay world in the early 90’s, so that cosplayers could indulge in geek cuisine without having to exercising to fit into costumes.

Yaya – (Back Stabber) It’s considered the original and most serious of the 7 deadly sins.

Alisa Chan – (Cry Baby) Feelings of hopelessness, despondency, and impending doom, “fucking 4chan.”

Miracole – (Ageism) It’s rumored that only cosplayers lie about their age. “She’s shouldn’t be allowed to cosplay, she is over 21”

Cathy & Meredith – (Rivalry) This in its purest form, presents with self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke online posts that can go on for centuries.

FX Makeup for Cosplay panel: (3-4pm) This panel introduces attendees to the complex world of Special Makeup Effects. You will learn how to professionally apply and color simple Wounds, Scars and full face prosthetics. We will also touch upon beards & hair. Room 900

Chris and I debuted our Silver Sable and Bullseye costumes, which seamed to go over very well. They were designed to help promote Jason Pearson’s new book launch ‘Wade Wilson’s War,’ (it drops this Wendsday! Please go pick it up!). Since Chris and I provided all the reference for the limited run, we figured that we would (in collaboration with Jason) bring Silver Sable and Bullsye to life! We also had the pleasure of shooting with Lennard again, so I will post an update as soon as I start getting photo’s!

The Studio Revolver dinner proved to be entertaining. I learned that you can see this This Commercial during a softball game and a watch a table of artists spontaneously bust into laughter and hand job jokes. I also learned that you can bet Casey just about anything for free food. The man ate 6 of the hottest hot wings on the planet, all will a smile on his face (tears came later). Not to be bested, Jason did a straight shot of just the sauce, AND licked the bowl. I have some seriously crazy friends.

The Charity auction was a blast! Some of the more ‘dapper’ artists were sporting matching smoking jackets. Good Idea! Next year, we need to have a female equivalent for the ladies. What’s good for the goose…. Mark Brooks and Adam Hughes art pieces brought in a record bid of $8000 each. So many amazing pieces by so many talented artists! I personally drooled over a large and beautiful Dark Phoenix piece (I forget the artist.. I blame Vodka). I was hoping that since it was after Adam and Marks pieces, so one would have any money left.. Alas, my puny bid did not prevail.

I had to sew and velcro poor Kevin Spooner into his Hawkeye costume. But, It came out amazing against his lovely wife Jen as Mockingbird. Totally worth it!!

This has been an exciting week of new comic releases and previews!!

John Tyler Christopher’s X-men New Mutants (Rare Variant) cover hit the stands last Wednesday. It was hard to track down, but I finally did get me hands on a copy. Chris and I had a ball posing for all the characters on this cover (except Warlock).

Also, JTC’s first cover of WitchBlade ‘Artifacts’ was teased in Previews! This is a string of covers (13 in total) that I had the privilege of being involved in. John’s artistic style really lends itself to the ‘feel’ of these characters, so I am excited to see them starting to get solicited. Stay tuned for more of his art!

Previews also teased two covers from Jason Pearson’s series, Deadpool: Wade Wilson’s War. Jason has been working tirelessly to crank out quality covers and interiors on this new limited origin story series. And let me tell you, the work was worth it. The art is beautiful! I took a more ’side kick’ role in this series, posing for Domino and Silver Sable. But it was fun to watch Chris take the spotlight as Deadpool. Look for these to start hitting the shelves in the next month or so!

Starting tonight at Midnight (E.S.T. on 5/13/10), I am giving away an 8×10 or Art litho every 12 hours for 7 days (ending 12 am E.S.T. on 5/20/10) ! Each photo will be lab printed on Kodak paper and hand signed by Miracole (personalized at the winners request).
